Thanks for any input the forum could provide. So, my concern here, now, is what would be the best solution for me as judged by the opinions of the forum here?Īnd, is there some good reason why v2.1.0 isn’t mentioned as being the latest version for non-intel PPC’s (since it has improvements and fixes from v2.0.6)? Again, I don’t have to have the effects if the fixes and improvements to the higher version would make the trade off worth it. I would like to use the most updated version I can while keeping the most integrity to the program regardless of whether I need certain features at this time. However, further reading in the v2.1.1 release notes suggests that v2.1.1 will also work on the non-intel PPC’s but it may sacrifice the ability to use some audio effects (which I probably don’t really need). (running 10.4.11, non-intel PPC) for various reasons.įrom what I see on the audacity web pages is that Audacity v2.0.6 is the most recent version to use in this case and v2.1.1 is for Mac OS 10.5 intel PPC’s. ![]() I have a Macbook Pro with Yosemite 10.10.5 but I want to do my editing on my old G5 I want to start editing audio again and I’m inclined toward Audacity. After a few hard drive crashes I had used up my three licenses and can no longer use my program there is no longer any support for BIAS. I used to use BIAS Peak to record and clean up LPs.
